DR. RAFAEL
VÉLEZ POMBO

Born in Cartagena, in Colombia, Rafael Vélez Pombo, a surgeon by profession, studied medicine at a University in Colombia, going on to do a PhD in Surgery and Childbirth.

He began a six-year specialization at the Brugman University Hospital (Belgium), where he finished with a specialization in cosmetic plastic surgery. He then obtained a diploma in hand surgery at the SOS Mains Lille Sud Center (France).

Being the stubborn perfectionist he is, he trained with the aim of specializing in cosmetic, plastic and reconstructive surgery, and also hand surgery. Dr. Vélez Pombo has pursued his passion throughout these years of rich experience, providing outstanding service in different hospitals, enabling him to gain mastery of the art of plastic and cosmetic surgery. Currently, he has a clinic at the Louise Medical Centre, working in cooperation with J. Bracops Hospital in Brussels. Ever looking to learn more and to find new methods, Dr. Vélez Pombo does not miss the opportunity to take part in plastic and cosmetic surgery conferences around the world, with a view to offering his patients an ever better service.
