FACE LIFTS

A facelift is a surgical procedure consisting in stretching the skin on the face. There are several types of lift: face lift, neck lift, a browlift, and a temporal lift. All are aimed at bringing life and a look of youth back to the face.

The face lift is generally performed under general or assisted local anaesthesia. An incision in front of the ears allows the skin to be lifted, then stretched and smoothed, before being placed back on the facial muscles.

The cosmetic surgery may last between three and four hours, depending on the correction being carried out, and it will be a few months before you see the final results. Hematomas (bruising) are likely as a result of the operation; but they will gradually disappear, giving rise to a rested and rejuvenated face. The facelift scars are very inconspicuous, almost invisible.
